Music Education
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” -Ben Franklin
My goal as a music educator is to revitalize student’s ability to emote and communicate, using musical lessons, including a varied repertoire of music, genres and experiences. Music is a unifying entity. A simple song can cross boundaries, both figuratively and literally, and bring people together. By giving students the opportunity to share creative musical experiences together, students will learn how to foster relationships and form bonds with others.

I appreciate how the many facets of music can facilitate learning in all academic subjects, as well as social and emotional lessons. By encouraging my students to expand their learning beyond what they can find “on the page”, through music I want them to find their own voice, and become effective, creative communicators.

Creativity is essential to music and the arts. But it is even more essential to the developing minds and bodies of children. Through creative expression, students can learn about themselves, and discover who they are. By offering students a safe and productive environment where they can explore their creativity, they will learn how to better communicate and express emotions that they may not be able to put into words.

Virtual Teaching Content
This year has been an incredible opportunity to learn how to reach out students through different mediums. Personally, I've really enjoyed the time to explore and experiment with video editing music education content. Click the following to see what I've been working on!
Complete lessons for grades K-2 and 3-6, from the start of fully remote teaching.
Supplementary lessons for grades K-2 for hybrid style teaching.

Voice Lessons
As a voice teacher, my primary goal is to instill a sense a pride in your vocal abilities. While we will use many techniques to develop healthy vocal production, I want each of my students to establish a self-confidence that will enrich their daily lives, not just their musical ones.

I primarily work with younger students, from 5th Grade through to High School, but will accept any age for beginner and intermediate voice students.

I also provide consultations and coachings for students preparing for auditions, competitions, and college applications and pre-screens. I love helping singers find meaningful repertoire that will let their personality shine through, and make them feel truly special.
